DECISIONS

In the end, our life is just the sum of all the decisions we have ever made, isn't it?

But then I have to remember that we only interpret things the way we are shown them. That we only experience the events that our environment gives us. That's why making decisions that make us happy is sometimes really hard.

Accordingly, I catch myself doing things that are done simply because that's the way it's done. Do you? And do you know the feeling of being controlled by others? That doesn't feel good at all!

But what does feel good is to do exactly what makes you really happy. Making decisions that make you feel alive - excited, anticipating and satisfied.

On this artwork you see a figure on the left in front of a rather restless background. By the hands you see how his own energy is sucked out, that actually only bones are left of him, because matter is (almost) all he cares about. Emptiness. Matter and what other figures say about him. In his left eye you see, none. Distortion. Surrounded by mostly energy-sucking, dark energies. Only one spreads his arms for him. But will he jump over his shadow and embrace what we all actually long for? - Love.

His neighbor, however, doesn't mind being misunderstood. Marked as crazy. He lives in flow, makes his decisions from his heart and sees beyond his five senses. His spiral is not into endless brooding, but into the endless wisdom of the universe. And despite his difficult times now and then, he is grateful for the opportunities he gets in his life. He feels that everything is at his fingertips, in control. Feels the bright energies that surround him and never loses a smile because of it.
